Cause of Death - Medico and Astro Analysis
Cause of Death - Medico and Astro Analysis
"For the soul there is never birth nor death. Nor, having once been, does he ever cease to be. He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing, undying and primeval. He is not slain when the body is slain." - Lord Krishna
With the above quote from 'Bhagavat Gita - Verses 2.20', I would like to share my subjective analysis of the very end of this human life through medical exploration and astrological predictions based on the planetary positions at the time of a human being's birth.
As this text is going to be a lengthier one, I request my readers to give a reasonable time to go through it, as it will be worth it.
Medico-Legal Analysis of Cause of Death:
I believe all of us would have come across the term 'Post-mortem' of a human body to know the cause of death, but for natural death. In normal terms, we acknowledge Cardiac arrest is the cause of death when the heart's electrical system malfunctions, causing it to suddenly stop beating and depriving the brain and vital organs of blood. Another form of silent death, which carries the medical term 'senescence ', is caused when the human body succumbs to a biological failure, such as a stroke, failure of kidney function, etc.
Before going into the details of the analysis of the cause of death, it is vital to understand human anatomy, which is the science that deals with the structure of the human body. The Greek word "anatome," meaning " cutting up became known as 'anatomy,' - a wide field of study, while in Latin it was described as 'dissection,' meaning a technique.
Though there are various forms of anatomy amounting to ten in the order 1. Cadaveric 2. Living 3. Embryology 4. Histology 5. Surface 6. Radiographic 7. Comparative 8. Physical anthropology 9. Applied (Clinical) and 10. Experimental.
For the purpose of Postmortem, Cadaveric anatomy is studied on dead bodies with the naked eye (macroscopic), done in two ways: 1) regional and 2) systemic.
1) In Regional anatomy, the body is studied in parts, like the upper and lower limbs, head, abdomen, thorax, neck, and brain.
2) In systemic anatomy, the body is studied in systems, like the skeletal system (osteology), muscular system (myology), articulatory system (arthrology or syndesmology), vascular system (angiology), nervous system (neurology), and respiratory, digestive, urogenital, and endocrine systems (splanchnology).
Chronological advancement of Anatomy
Known as the 'Father of Medicine', Hippocrates of Greece (around 400 B.C.) is regarded as one of the founders of anatomy. His collections are the earliest anatomical descriptions.
Herophilus of Chalcedon (around 300 B.C.), a Greek physician, is called the "Father of anatomy". He was the first to dissect the human body and distinguished the cerebrum from the cerebellum, nerves from tendons, arteries from veins, and the motor from sensory nerves.
For nearly 15 centuries, many remarkable advancements were seen.
In the Fifteenth century, Leonardo da Vinci of Italy (1452 - 1519) was one of the greatest geniuses of the world, known as the originator of cross-sectional anatomy. Apart from medicine, he excelled in art, mathematics, science, and engineering.
Years have rolled by, and the 20th century has seen an abnormal advancement in medical technology and instruments, including the innovative assistance of Robots in modern-day medical treatments.
The above few words are the path towards our goal in knowing the subject under captive study.
MEDIOLEGAL AND ANTHROPOLOGICAL ASPECTS IN POST-MORTEM
The prima facie object of Cadaveric anatomy of a dead body is to know 5 facts using the skeleton or isolated bones received for medical examination. The assertion is a) whether the bones are human or not, b) whether they belong to one or more persons, c) the age of the individual, d) the sex, e) the time and cause of death.
1. Examination of Skeletal Age
Till the age of 25 years, the skeletal age can be estimated to + or - 1-2 years of correct age by the states of definition and ossification, provided the whole skeleton is available. From 25 years, the estimated variation might be + or - 5 years based on cranial sutures and the nodular surfaces or symphysis pubis.
2. Estimation of Sex
Sex can be determined after the age of puberty. Sexual differences are best marked in the pelvis and skull, and accurate determination of sex can be done in over 90% of cases with either pelvis or skull alone. However, sexual dimorphism has been worked out in a number of other bones, like the sternum and most of the limb bones.
3. Estimation of Structure (Height)
It is a common experience that trunk and limbs show characteristic ratios among themselves and in comparison with total height. Thus, a number of regression formulae have been worked out to determine height from the length of the individual limb bones, from head length, and from foot measurements.
4. Estimation of Race
It is of interest to anthropologists as a number of metrical and facial indices and nonmetrical features of the skull, pelvis, and certain other bones are of racial significance.
While various types of death are reported at the mortuary,
Postmortem examinations, also known as autopsies, play a critical role in the Indian legal system, particularly in criminal investigations. The primary objective of these examinations is to determine the cause of death, which can significantly influence the outcome of a criminal case. In India, postmortem procedures are governed by the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), ensuring that they are carried out with strict adherence to legal protocols. Understanding these procedures is vital for law enforcement, medical professionals, and the judicial system, as they can provide essential evidence in cases of homicide, suspicious deaths, or unexplained fatalities.
Biological samples, such as gastric lavage fluid, vomitus, or pills for forensic laboratory analysis, must be collected and sealed.
As there are numerous varieties of analytical procedures employed, including laboratory tests and examination of bone culture to arrive at the cause of death, only a competent authority or the Medical Officer can declare the cause of death, which obviously contains medico-legal terms.
Hence, we may break away at this point to wind up this portion of the medico-legal analysis of death findings.
Astro Analysis
As far as Astrology is concerned, the 22nd Drekkana (decanate) declares the cause of death, and the lord of that Drekkana kills the person by that disease which is attributed to him. The place where death occurs will be similar to the sign occupied by the lord of the Navamsa in which the birth falls. If, for instance, the birth falls in the Navamsa of Capricorn, its ascendant lord is Saturn; in the sign he is posited in Taurus. Therefore, the nature of the place where death occurs will be appropriate to Taurus, i.e, the place indicated by the lord of Taurus - Venus - indicating drawing rooms, well furnished with luxurious furniture and tapestry. If the Navamsa lord falls in the Sun, the place of death will be a temple or religious institution.
With due respect to Astrology, I am giving below certain points that culminate in death as per the SUTRAS OF SAINT MAHADEVA IN JATAKA TATTVA

The above are a very few points integrating the cause of Death as found by medico analysis after death and Some Astro facts that suggest the probable consequences of death.
