Consumption of alcohol or resorting to using drugs is now an illusory relief of wellbeing and relaxation of tension caused by the stress in the modern complex civilisation, where life has become full of problems that cannot be solved by inherited solutions. Drugs and alcohol have become almost a part of life. These toxicants overtake the will of the individual. Fatal and incurable diseases are the aftermath of addiction to intoxicating substances. To get rid of this disease, immunisation is the only alternative that will protect. However, this should not be overdone, as it may cause other diseases in social organisms, just like any other viral disease. Mostly the young addicts and minor offenders are easily prone to damage.

It is completely useless to ban alcoholism by making laws that discriminate against the drunkards. As seen in the case of 'Cigarette banning', such laws will also incriminate the young addicts whose cases are not quite hopeless, and chances of revival should not be forbidden.

In many cases, we can see that only weak-minded persons are easily addicted. The habit of consuming alcohol pushes such persons to other bad habits like unrestrained, indulgent behaviour. This should be left 'as it is' to be taken care of by nature, as banning alcoholism will also act against the family planning attempt of the society.

Alcoholic adoption for Generations

It has been found in the genes of every individual that they carry down the memories of ancestors. A child born to parents addicted to alcohol or drugs follows suit. The cell that imparts the father's or mother's, or both, is ethylic, prompting the child to be prone to alcoholism. The child is born alcoholic, and consequently its mind is weak to fight against the odds, paving the way for addiction.

Medicine




The medical treatment of alcoholism is nothing but one of the numerous applications of the psychic treatment of vices, character defects, or intelligence defects. According to the individuality of addicts, proper medicines may help their bodies regain health and consequently ameliorate their moral conditions. Homoeopathic medicines in high dilutions cure more than fifty percent of addicts.

Of many medicines - 14 remedies - 'Nux-vomica' plays a major role in reviving most of the addicts.

Dr. Joan Pierre Galavardin of France has incorporated in his book "Psychisme et Homéopathie et Médecine Plastique" published in the year 1960, several cases regarding addiction to alcohol and treatment of manifestations of different symptoms during drunkenness.

Instead of banning alcohol and criminalising the addicts in a bad method, publicity of its after effects and religious and spiritual education should be resorted to.
